METROWARS
Game Design Unity C# Figma

METROWARS is a multiplayer mini-game developed in Unity using C#. The game was designed as a concept for the DSB app to encourage safer travel on weekend nights through friendly competition and gamification.

Players can only access the game while checked into the Metro through the DSB app. Between Thursday and Sunday from 5 PM to 6 AM, users are invited to join one of two teams and compete by playing short mini-games during their journey.

Gameplay & progression

Players choose between two teams based on opposing hot takes. Every completed mini-game adds points to the team's shared score, creating a competition that lasts throughout the weekend.

The mini-games increase in difficulty through different items and obstacles. Players unlock badges and level up as they play, making it possible to compare progress with friends.

Every Sunday, both teams enter a final battle where the team with the highest combined score wins. After each game, players receive their score together with feedback reinforcing the campaign's message about safer travel.

DSB app integration

The game is integrated directly into the DSB app. During check-in between 11 PM and 5 AM on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, users are shown a popup inviting them to participate. Accepting the invitation leads to team selection before the game begins.
